Our Animal Assisted Learning and SEN sessions, delivered under the Wild Paws Learning and Wellbeing programme, provide personalised support for children and young people with Special Educational Needs. Sessions are led by qualified and experienced staff, combining farm animals, woodland spaces, and nature-based learning to foster growth, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.

Using a learner-centred, holistic approach, we offer:

1. Individual 1:1 Sessions

  • Tailored interactions that build confidence, communication, and emotional wellbeing.

  • Meaningful engagement with animals and natural woodland settings to promote calm, focus, and connection.

  • Support for sensory processing and emotional regulation through gentle, nature-based activities.

2. Small Group Sessions

  • Structured, low-stimulus activities that encourage teamwork, social skills, and positive peer interaction.

  • Ideal for learners who thrive in a calm, supportive group environment.

  • Woodland and farm-based experiences enhance mindfulness, cooperation, and connection with nature.

3. SEN-Friendly Seasonal Events

  • Inclusive farm- and woodland-based events for children, siblings, and parents throughout the year.

  • Sensory-sensitive celebrations designed to provide a calm, welcoming environment.

  • Opportunities for families to enjoy meaningful experiences in nature, interact with animals, and engage in seasonal, hands-on learning activities.
